Agreeing to these terms

By using Fateen you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and these terms add to it. If you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.

The game

Fateen lets groups play a trivia board game together, on one device or in rooms that friends join from their own. We keep improving it, so features, categories and questions may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable, for example during maintenance.

Names and behavior

Fateen has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive players.

Player names and team names are seen by everyone in the room, so choose names that suit everyone. Don’t use names that are hateful, harassing, sexual, violent or discriminatory, that impersonate someone, or that reveal someone’s private information. Names that break these rules may be rejected automatically, and we may block anyone who keeps breaking them from using the service.

Hosts and rooms

• The host runs the room: they set up the game, reveal answers, award points, move players between teams and can remove anyone from the room. A removed player can’t rejoin that room.
• Share a room’s code or invite link only with people you want to play with.
• Rooms are temporary and close automatically when they’ve been idle for a while.

Reporting problems

To report a question, open its menu during the game and choose Report question. To report a player or anything else, email support@fateengame.com with the room code and what happened. We review reports of abuse and act on them within 24 hours, which can include removing content and blocking the people responsible.

Fair use

Please don’t disrupt or overload the service, create or join rooms automatically, copy or scrape the question bank, try to get around its security, or use Fateen for anything illegal.

Our content

The app, its design, the Fateen name and logo, and the questions belong to us or to those who license them to us. You may use them to play Fateen; everything else needs our written permission.

Questions and answers

Questions are for fun. We work hard to keep them accurate, but mistakes happen, and in your game the host has the final say. If you spot an error, report the question and our editors will review it.

No warranty

Fateen is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of Fateen, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

Ending and changes

You can stop using Fateen at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms. We may update these terms; we’ll change the date above, and if you keep using Fateen after an update, the new terms apply.
